Performance/Limitations:
Maximum speed: ~200 knots / 230 mph / 370 km/h (sea level, full power, straight and level). Vne: ~200 knots / 230 mph / 370 km/h. Note: High-speed flight must be conducted with expo/dual rates engaged due to structural damage potential.
Configuration: Model comes with two built-in configurations; Clean and Loaded. Loaded configuration is draggy, and the model will not exceed the top-rated speed.

Configuration Setup:
The aircraft is initiated with the loaded configuration. To change configuration simply interact with the interaction zone located on the upper fuselage/wing section with the mouse/touch controller. It works in toggle mechanism and can be set on the go. 


Full-Cockpit / Onboard VR FPV:

The VSKYLABS RCE F-16X is equipped with full-cockpit, allowing executing full flights in full-cockpit FPV mode in 2-d (screen display) with our without head-tracking, and in 3-d VR environment. In VR mode, the on-board camera is positioned behind the canopy, allowing breathtaking 360 view.

To set view in FPV mode, simply set X-Plane default view to 'cockpit' by pressing 'w' or shift+0 (zero) on your keyboard, or by using X-Plane's GUI (views --> forward with 3d panel).

When flying in 2-d mode, the aircraft can be flown in HUD overlay mode, is shown in the lower screenshot.

Pilot Notes:
General: The F-16X is a large scale model built for high performance, aerobatics and scale flight. It can be flown in comfort with the controls set in full rates, although it is highly recommended to use Dual-Rates or Expo at high speeds. This model is robust, built for testing the flight envelope. With the high-drag loaded-configuration it slows down quite fast in lower power settings. With the clean configuration it flies like a rocket, yet very stable and predictable.
