Pilot notes:
General: The XF5FX is one of the smaller models in RCE Vol.1, and one of the most enjoyable to fly. The combination of twin engines, high power output, and twin rudder configuration delivers a truthful 'Skyrocket' RC experience that is hard to put down.
Like the DH-88X, earlier versions of this model were among the first VSKYLABS RC proof-of-concept builds in X-Plane, dating back to 2015 during the X-Plane 10 era. It has come a long way.
Flying characteristics: At high speed it is an 'aim-and-fly' aircraft; point it where you want it and let it go. At slow speed the character transforms entirely. The XF5FX becomes dynamic, full of personality, and remarkably responsive, and can tolerate pilot abuse (before it fights back). It rewards aggressive, creative flying in the high speed regime without biting back.
One of the best picks in the fleet for casual flying sessions, and equally a good pick for a pilot looking to push limits.
Controls: No specific restrictions. The XF5FX invites exploration across the full control range.
