Pilot Notes:
General: The DH-88X is a classic scale RC twin with good response to both power and control inputs. It holds a special place in VSKYLABS history as early versions of this model served as the original RC proof-of-concept in X-Plane back in 2015, during the X-Plane 10 era.
Engines are not counter-rotating, takeoff requires gradual throttle input and counter rudder correction.
In the air it delivers pure satisfaction. High speed passes are solid and predictable, and the model is very rewarding. At low speeds the character changes as control becomes more demanding and requires attention. That contrast between the composed high-speed regime and the more challenging slow flight envelope is what makes the DH-88X genuinely interesting and fun to fly.
It is one of the best demonstrations of RC flight capability in X-Plane, and an ideal choice for casual RC flying sessions when you just want to go out and enjoy the field.
