Pilot Notes:

General: The P-38X is a powerful and very responsive twin engine model that feels comfortable and composed both on the ground and in the air.

Speed management: The stall is aggressive and provides little warning. Low speed flight can feel deceptively controlled right up to the break. Do not be fooled by the apparent stability at reduced speed as the aircraft will appear fully manageable until it isn't. The stall is accompanied by an aggressive wing drop which is unrecoverable at low altitude. Keep the speed up, always.

On landing, be aware of propstrike risk, particularly when touching down with full flaps deployed. The reduced ground clearance in this configuration leaves little margin on touchdown. Plan your flare accordingly.

Controls: Switch to dual rates and/or expo for scale flying.
