Pilot Notes:
General: The Ka-27X is a highly engineered coaxial RC helicopter, powered by real counter-rotating rotor physics.
The aircraft is heavy and not overpowered (it is the heaviest helicopter in RCE Vol.1). Collective input must be managed with anticipation; the rotor system requires time to respond to power changes, and a late or abrupt collective reduction will result in a sink-with-power situation that leaves no room for recovery close to the ground. Fly it ahead of the aircraft, not reactively.
The Ka-27X is not designed for high speed forward flight. Pushing it into the high speed regime introduces instability that is not easily managed, with tendency of pitch-up departure. As speed increases, pay extra attention to cyclic inputs (pitch up/down). It is not forgiving. Treat it as what it is: a heavy, capable, scale helicopter, not a high-performance, agile helicopter.
Controls: Full control throws recommended. Smooth, anticipatory inputs throughout.
